DRIVING LICENSE INFORMATION FOR SOUTH AFRICA
Drivers must have a valid driving license, which displays his/her photograph upon it, or carry your passport with you as positive identification to verify you as the legal holder of the driver's license. Your license must be printed in English so a local traffic officer can establish which Class of vehicle you are qualified to drive. If not, either an International license should be purchased before arrival, or an affidavit/letter, printed in English and stamped and signed by a commissioner of oaths stating the class of vehicle you are permitted to drive. The onus is on the driver to prove that he is qualified to drive such a vehicle.
You MUST carry your driving license on your person at all times while driving in South Africa.
- With the above compulsory Standard insurance the excess you would be liable for is R9000
- With the optional extra Supercover insurance the excess would be reduced to R3000
- All Mileage is free and unlimited, there is NO extra charge for mileage
- All vehicles are subject to availability at time of booking.
- We operate on a nationwide basis with depots in most towns across South Africa including the Kruger Park.
- All our vehicles are normally less than one year old. In the unfortunate event of a mechanical problem arising, we pride ourselves in being able to arrange a replacement vehicle within hours.
- Car Rental South Africa is restricted to within the borders of South Africa unless otherwise agreed to by the Hirer, and a letter of authorization will be issued on collection of your vehicle.
- Rates are valid from 1st January 2004 until 30th October 2004 but subject to change without notice.
